Grooming Terms of Service
By booking an appointment with Bones by Pet Planet, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
- Pet Health & Vaccinations
All dogs must be in good general health and free from contagious conditions (fleas, ticks, ringworm, etc.). Puppies must be old enough to be safely groomed. Proof of vaccinations may be requested. Any medical conditions, allergies, mobility issues, or behavioural concerns must be disclosed before the appointment. - Behaviour & Handling
Dogs must be able to be handled safely. If a dog displays aggressive, highly anxious, or unsafe behaviour (including biting, snapping, or excessive stress), we reserve the right to stop or refuse the groom for the safety of your pet and our staff. Additional fees may apply for difficult or time-consuming grooms. - Matting & Coat Condition
Severely matted coats may require shaving for the dog’s comfort and health. De-matting can be stressful or painful; your dog’s wellbeing will always be prioritized. Extra charges may apply for excessive matting or additional time required. - Appointments, Cancellations & No-Shows
A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a cancellation fee. Late arrivals may shorten the appointment or require rescheduling. - Pick-Up Policy
Dogs must be picked up promptly once grooming is completed. Late pick-ups may be subject to a daycare or late fee. - Payment
Payment is due at the time of service. Accepted payment methods include cash / debit / credit. Prices may vary depending on coat condition, behaviour, and time required. - Injury, Stress & Liability
Grooming carries inherent risks, including minor cuts, nicks, or stress, especially for senior dogs or those with health conditions. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions that may be aggravated during grooming. In the event of an emergency, veterinary care will be sought at the owner’s expense. - Fleas & Parasites
If fleas or parasites are discovered during grooming, treatment or additional fees may apply. Severe infestations may require the groom to be stopped. - Photos & Marketing
Photos or videos of your dog may be taken for social media or promotional use. Please notify us if you do not consent. - Weather & Emergencies
Appointments may be rescheduled due to extreme weather, power outages, or unforeseen circumstances to ensure safety. - Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse service to any dog or client for safety, health, or welfare reasons. - Accidents & Clean-Up
While accidents can happen, dogs should be given a bathroom break before their appointment. If excessive urine or feces occur during the groom, a clean-up fee may be added. - Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
